A 300-year-old family sheep farm nestled in the Tyne Valley
Rye Hill Farm is a surprisingly well-tended small family run farm, which also features a B&B in the nearby farmhouse.



There are no facilities for children, no open fires, BBQs are allowed off the grass.


Chesters Roman Fort, Hadrian’s Wall (10 miles) – Britain’s best preserved Roman cavalry fort; 01434 681379. Beamish Open Air Museum (21 miles) – a museum that takes the novel approach of telling the story of the people of north-east England by homing in on 2 years: 1825 and 1913; 01913 704000.
