Away from the campsite, the local area is rich in things to see and do. Rouselands Farm lies on the eastern edge of the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, whose quintessential chocolate-box towns and villages like Bourton-on-the-Water, Cirencester and Stow-on-the-Wold are all within easy reach. One of the country’s most picturesque villages, Corfe Castle, should also make the itinerary, not least for the ruins of its titular fortress. The mystical prehistoric plains of Salisbury and iconic Stonehenge are not too far away either while the North Wessex Downs (another AONB) lie a little further to the east – see if you can spot Wiltshire’s ubiquitous white horse hill figures.
The campsite owner saysHead to our peaceful, family-friendly Wiltshire idyll and enjoy not only a spacious 10-acre campsite but also experience the inner workings of our farm. The site boasts fantastic views out to the rolling countryside, yet it's just a short 10-minute drive from the historic town of Malmesbury and is close to the Cotswolds, where you can visit the likes of Castle Combe, a quintessentially English village. Escape to the Rouselands Farm and pitch up – we've got 10 spots for tents and our shower facilities have been recently refurbished – but for a little more luxury there's the recent additions of a Bell Tent and Shepherd's Hut. Come evening, light up a barbecue and enjoy some of our home bred and reared lamb and beef whilst watching the sun go down.
