The Loveland Farm Tipi’s are a brand new edition, exclusively available for summer. Developed for Nordic conditions, these Tipi’s are used by professionals in the most extreme conditions from ice-fields, storm-force gales to blazing heat. Tentipi are known for their outstanding comfort and make a perfect alternative to your usual camping!

Situated on a wooden deck to keep you off the ground and floored with cosy rugs, the Tipi’s feature a spacious double bed with warm devon duvet bedding and a powerful wood burner. Combined with the use of our award winning compost toilets, shower, washing facilities as well as a brand new kitted out communal kitchen area with gas hobs, a prepping area and wood fire pizza oven as well as a BBQ area this makes the perfect summer break.

1.3 miles from the coastal path, situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty and close to many adventurous activities, our Tipi’s make a great stay for anyone that wants to experience camping with a luxurious twist!

The surf in North Devon is great with popular beaches such as Woolacombe, Bude, Braunton and Westward Ho! just a few miles up the coast. There's loads of great surf schools in the area, check out Big Blue Surf School (01288 331764) in Bude for a session with Jon Price, coach to the British surfing team. If you just want to get out there visit eyeball surfcheck for live webcams, tide times and daily weather conditions for the entire North Devon Coast. The Tarka Trail runs for 180 miles from Barnstaple to Bideford. Whilst you can walk the route you can also cycle along the trail which is also connect to the National Cycle Network’s Devon coast to coast path which runs all the way down to Plymouth on the South Coast. Explore the famous Lundy Island. The island is managed by the Landmark trust and a fee of £5 upon admission. Accessible by boat from Clovelly (visit Clovelly Charters for more info) and Bideford (visit MS Oldenburg). There are also helicopter flights available during the winter months. Boats leave daily and cost around £35 for a day return.

Food & Drink

You'll find no fresher produce than the farm's own. Get ½ dozen fresh eggs for £1, outdoor reared Loveland pork sausages £6.50/kg and ham/bacon joints £9.50/kg. The Hart Inn (01237 441474) is a wonderful independent pub in the heart of the village. The Hart hosts an exceptionally presented eclectic menu using locally sourced ingredients, plus tasty dishes and well as a classic bar menu. The bar offers the best local ales and fine wines. The afternoon Sunday roasts are a popular local favourite so be sure to book at the weekends. The Old Smithy Inn (01288 331305) in Welcombe is a traditional friendly freehouse serving hearty pub grub and real ales. It's also the place to hear live music. Get down to the Smithy for the Tuesday night Jam night or the monthly folk club.
