Tir Bach Farm

Pembrokeshire Sa66 7 Xt, Pembrokeshire, Wales
1 acre hosted by Tir F.
A pretty spot run by a seriously special couple. With climbing frames and farmyard animals to amuse the kids, in countryside dotted with castles.

We sincerely hope you don’t get lost in the snaking lanes that twist and turn their way towards the mellow spot that is Tir Bach Farm. But we promise that, once you’ve finally found this farmland site, you’ll be reluctant to leave.

Most people have dreams. Some people dream about winning the lottery or writing a bestselling novel. Living in Bristol, Ashley and Roze had a dream about moving to Wales to farm a smallholding and run a cute little family-friendly campsite. They heard about Tir Bach Farm, which, appropriately, means ‘small land’. And as soon as they visited this special little patch of Wales, they realised that their dream was right in front of them. They now have not only a campsite comprised of 20 tiered tent pitches and two comfy yurts, but also a grand collection of animals: cows, breeding sows, kune kune pigs and goats, as well as geese, ducks, turkeys and the odd chicken scratching around the farmyard.

The farm’s surrounded by mountains and 12 acres of ancient woodland with paths ripe for exploration and a small river, complete with a fallen tree-trunk-bridge. You could try the exciting option of taking part in one of their Bushcraft courses. And with hardly any light pollution, so star gazing is a must. One of the nicest things is that, at the end of a day out, you can return to the whispering stillness of Tir Bach Farm. It’s a mellow spot, because Roze and Ashley are mellow people. We think that you’ll like it here so much that you might just start dreaming of moving to the Welsh countryside, too.

Tir Bach Farm is situated over looking the Preseli Mountains National Park, North Pembrokeshire. The camp site is surrounded by outstanding views of the Preselis and countryside, tucked away in a haven of wildlife, birds, woodland and farm animals. We are a small camp site, only 24 pitches, so booking is advisable during the school holidays. The camp site has a main camping field with terraced pitches, with some more secluded pitches in our hay meadows. We also have glamping yurts, and the UKs first glamping yacht - Marshala! Measuring an ample 36 feet long by 12 feet wide, it was built in France. When Roze heard of its running aground she had the amazing idea of turning her into a land yacht. All the fun of sailing without any of the dangers of falling over board – not to mention the toils of sea sickness! The unique project took 9 months to finish, and the yacht is now refitted to an exceptional standard, creating something very different and fun! Equipped for the family, you’ll find 2 double cabins and a children’s bunk on board to comfortably sleep up to 6 people. In the living area you’ll benefit from a TV, plenty of storage space, a fitted kitchen with gas hob, oven, fridge and microwave and a wet room with your own private WC. As if that isn’t luxury enough, the yacht also has a romantic wood burning fire to create the perfect ambience on those relaxing evenings. On the outside her facilities are just as impressive with a covered seating area offering you the outdoors under shelter for enjoyment whatever the weather. Her outside deck has a BBQ area with table and chairs allowing you to dine with ease. Idyllic views of the beautiful landscape surrounding Tir Bach Farm are yours to savour from her own private docking space in a prime location whether you are sitting on her deck or enjoying her large adjacent grass area which comes with the added option of housing a tent. We also have 2 yurts for hire, from 29th April to the end of September. The Painted yurt (sleeps up to 6),  the carved yurt (sleeps up to 4) Groups can book, part or the site or the whole site, except during school holidays and half term. We have 2 group pitches available during the high season, which will fit 3 or 4 tents depending on sizes.Sorry we don't have Electric Hook Up, but there are fridges and a freezer available.
